Cursos de Escultura en Piedra

Beginning stone courses usually focus on learning to use various hand tools, finding and developing forms, and experimenting with different finish textures. Other courses explore complex forms, different varieties of stone, mounting/display options, the use of power-assisted and pneumatic tools, and precise replication of existing sculptures and models. A common goal for all courses is to complete one sculpture or model suitable for display or use in casting.
Experience classic sculpture - with hammer and chisel. Extend the skills presented in Stone Carving I, but with more complex forms, larger stones, and greater attention to mounting and display.
Learn the specific qualities of and working methods for three completely different stone types: alabaster, travertine, and marble. Learn how to use the pneumatic hammer and chisels.
Create a unique and personal tribute to a loved relative, friend, or pet. Learn how to copy a model - i.e. out of plaster - into stone.
