Studio Michelangelo was created by owner and lead instructor, Ruth Seeger. She has studied and practiced stone sculpture in Italy, Switzerland, and the US for nearly ten years. The School also hosts visiting artists to supplement the Studio's offerings. Whatever your needs, level, and interests, Studio Michelangelo can satisfy them.

All sculpting is done in open air (covered, shaded, or in full sun) with natural lighting when possible. Fortunately for us, San Diego's Mediterranean climate offers ideal conditions year round. Days are generally warm and sunny (67-83F, 19-28°C) and nights are mild. Rain is rare.

Our permanent site near downtown San Diego should be opened by Nov. 1, 2007. Until then, Studio Michelandelo has been temporarily located at our private residence in Santee - just 15 minutes from downtown.
